Ipswich sculptor and designer Shelly Bradbury enlisted Salem Metal’s help after she was asked to create a 40-foot footbridge on the Endicott College campus. Bradbury wanted the design to reflect the natural beauty of the campus in general and the location of the bridge in general. Her final design involved 12 metal panels cut into intricate silhouettes to compliment the setting. Using ¼-inch stainless steel, we laser cut, formed, welded and ground the panels, then laser cut, formed, welded, and finished the upright posts. With the initial work complete, we delivered the panels and posts for painting and installation. All photos by Shelly Bradbury.
